We at the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry, Czech Academy of Sciences (IIC CAS) are searching for new members to work on interdisciplinary project devoted to reactivity of highly Lewis acidic boron cations as luminescent sensors, small molecule activators and catalysts.

The researcher will be responsible for design, synthesis and characterization of boron compounds and contribute to ongoing project at IIC CAS. During the course, the applicant will master advanced synthetic methods, handling air-sensitive compounds using Schlenk techniques and glovebox including its characterization and evaluation as promising materials for molecular sensing and catalysis.

We require

  • M.Sc. in Inorganic or Organic Chemistry
  • Experience in Organic, Inorganic or Organometallic synthesis
  • Expertise in structure elucidation of organic compounds (NMR, MS, IR)
  • Independent and proactive attitude
  • Courage and readiness to learn new things and solve unique problems
  • Fluent English (knowledge of Czech language is not required)
