Do you have an interest in understanding complex molecular interactions? Are you an experienced organic chemist with a passion for chemical biology? Join our Organic Chemistry team as a Junior Researcher and play a key role in designing and preparing small molecule precursors for various departments.

What will be your responsibilities?

  • Design and preparation of small molecule precursors for other departments which will include multistep synthesis (exemplified by kinase inhibitors, steroid structures, peptides, sugar chemistry etc.).
  • Chemical biology will be also large part of the job (conjugation to proteins, oligonucleotides and subsequent purification of the conjugates and their characterization).
  • All work will be done in close collaboration with the head of chemistry.

What are the requirements?​

  • You finished Master’s or PhD degree in organic chemistry or related fields.
  • You have at least several years of laboratory work (time of PhD studies is counted).
  • You have experience with anhydrous conditions reactions.
  • Knowledge of purification methods such as column chromatography, TLC, HPLC or GPC and LC-MS analysis is highly desirable.
  • You have basic knowledge of NMR analysis.
  • You are a self-motivated professional with a positive attitude and team spirit, willing to work in multiple roles (working both as a researcher as well as a production specialist).
