In accordance with the The Competitive Hiring Process Code of Charles University, the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University announces opening of the following position with submission deadline February 15, 2025
Scientific and pedagogical work in the field of atmospheric physics with a focus on numerical modeling of atmospheric processes in limited area with a focus on gravity waves and cloud and precipitation microphysics.

Qualifications
- Academic degree Ph.D. (or equivalent) in a relevant field, professional experience in a given field, a positive attitude towards pedagogical work, the ability to integrate scientific activities, teaching and supervision of student theses, stable publication activity in the given field in impacted journals or journals recognized in the given field, and also experience from stays at foreign academic/research institutions. Furthermore, extensive experience with the application of numerical weather and climate models at the regional level is required. Concrete experience with WRF and RegCM models and knowledge of the HPC environment for running such models is an advantage.
