The dean of the Faculty of Arts, Charles University, invites applications for job vacancy with a deadline for applications November 22, 2024

Teaching of core and elective seminars in undergraduate studies, including supervision of undergraduate student theses, evaluations and examinations at all levels of study; Participation in the work of the Department of Germanic Studies; Grant and project activities, publications; Participation in “third role” activities of the university.

If the career development plan is required, it must aim to commence the habilitation procedure (procedure for the granting of associate professorship) no later than nine years after the expected beginning of employment.

Based on the committee’s decision, either all applicants or selected applicants only will be invited to the second round of the competition, i.e. an interview.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in the given area, or advanced dissertation project near the completion of the doctoral studies. Experience with teaching and research in the areas of specialization; Experience in popularization and promotion work; Organizational skills.
