The Department of Experimental Biology at the Faculty of Science MU is a modern, fully equipped workplace where individual research groups are engaged in research at all levels – from molecules and cells to invertebrates and humans; from basic research to the application of results in human and veterinary biomedicine.
Job Description
- Involvement in the educational process of undergraduate and graduate students of experimental plant biology (teaching and thesis supervision)
- Research activities in the field of experimental and comparative plant epigenetics, epigenomics and genomics
- Searching for funding opportunities and applying for research projects, solving ongoing projects
- Assisting in the promotional events for the public of Section of Experimental Plant Biology
Skills and Qualifications
- MSc. university degree and professorship in the field of Plant Genetics, Epigenetics or related biological fields
- Long-term research and publication activities in the field of plant biology
- Proved ability to apply and successfully conduct grant research projects
- Ability to present results of research in Czech and English languages
- Ability to teach subject focused on plant genomics, epigenetics and epigenomics in the Czech language (native speaker or documented C1 language certificate)
- Good knowledge of the English language (written and verbal)
- Active approach to applying for national and international research projects on behalf of Institute of Experimental Biology
