Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, represented by the Dean of the Faculty, announces an open competition according to the Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions

for the project The project Advanced Techniques for Biomedical Diagnostics (ATEBIO),
Project No.: CZ.02.01.01/00/23_020/0008535,

within the Operation Programme Johannes Amos Comenius (OP JAC), P 1: Research and Development, SO 1.1: Developing and enhancing research and innovation capacities and deploying advanced technologies,

to fill the research position:

FaF_VZ1_16: PhD Student, 0.4 FTE (40 %),

Place of work: Hradec Králové

Responsibilities:

  • Independent experimental research activity in the relevant field, especially within the framework of WP1 (research activities 1 and 3).
  • Involvement in work for WP1 in a young scientific team focused on the development of advanced techniques for biomedical diagnostics.
  • Implementation of modern approaches to the separation of peptides, proteins and generally large analyte molecules.
  • Development of effective separation methods according to specific requirements and research procedures within WP1.
  • Use of various detection techniques, including mass spectrometry.
  • Performing targeted and untargeted analysis in the specified area, including evaluation of the data obtained.
  • Involvement in the preparation of publication and application outputs, presentation and publication of the achieved results on an international level.
  • Involvement in the preparation of related national and international projects.
  • Participation in key project activities with an emphasis on application potential.

Profile:

  • education in pharmacy, bioanalytical chemistry, or related fields,
  • experience with the development and optimization of modern methods of processing complex matrix samples, work with high-performance liquid chromatography,
  • scientific and publication activity in the field of analytical chemistry or related fields is an advantage,
  • publication activity, letter of recommendation from 2 experts in the field, grant activity, active knowledge of the English language is an advantage.

The estimated monthly wage: 35 000 CZK (1.0 FTE)

The start of work: 1 January 2025, or can be negotiated

Type of employment contract: for 1-3 years, with the expectation that the contract will be extended until 31 December 2028.

Employment: part-time (0.4 FTE).
