Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, represented by the Dean of the Faculty, announces an open competition according to the Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions

for the project Advanced Techniques for Biomedical Diagnostics (ATEBIO),
Project No.: CZ.02.01.01/00/23_020/0008535,

within the Operation Programme Johannes Amos Commenius (OP JAC), P 1: Research and Development, SO 1.1: Developing and enhancing research and innovation capacities and deploying advanced technologies,

to fill research position:

FaF_VZ2_11: Researcher (junior), 0.5 FTE (50 %),

Place of work: Hradec Králové

Responsibilities:

  • Independent experimental research activity in the relevant field, especially within the framework of VZ2/WP2.
  • Design, organization of work, planning and execution of experiments for WP2, publication of professional results.
  • Introduction and application of modern extraction procedures using nanofibrous materials.
  • Automation of the developed procedures for on-line SPE in the LC system.
  • Application of modern extraction procedures for concentrating analytes and removing the influence of the matrix of complex samples.
  • Data interpretation with regard to a specific application and the possibility of transferring the developed technique to similar analytical systems.
  • Involvement in the preparation of publication and application outputs, presentation and publication of the obtained results on an international level.
  • Involvement in the preparation of subsequent national and international projects.
  • Participation in key project activities with an emphasis on application potential.

Profile:

  • A researcher who is no more than 7 years beyond the award of his/her academic Ph.D. or its equivalent (ISCED level 8 equivalent).
  • Completed university doctoral studies (Ph.D. degree) in pharmacy, bioanalytical chemistry or related field at a university in the Czech Republic or achieved a comparable degree at a foreign university no later than on the date of employment.
  • Junior researcher H-index ≥ 2, min. 1 first-authored publication (preferably with IF ≥ 3), completed PhD studies, letter of recommendation from 2 experts in the field (at least 1 from a foreign institution), required education in the relevant field of research, grant activity is an advantage, active knowledge of English language.
  • Scientific and publication activity in the field of analytical chemistry.
  • Experience in the development and optimization of extraction procedures in miniaturized format.
  • Previous experience in analytical chemistry is an advantage.
  • Education and a PhD in pharmaceutical analysis, bioanalytical methods or similar field is preferred.

The estimated monthly wage: 60 000 CZK (1.0 FTE)

The start of work: 1 January 2025 or can be negotiated.

Type of employment contract: for 1-3 years, with the expectation that the contract will be extended until 31 December 2028.

Employment: part-time (0.5 FTE).
