Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, represented by the Dean of the Faculty, announces an open competition according to the Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions
for the project New Technologies for Translational Research in Pharmaceutical Sciences /NETPHARM,

within the Operation Programme Johannes Amos Comenius (OP JAK), P 1: Research and Development, SO 1.1: Developing and enhancing research and innovation capacities and deploying advanced technologies,
to fill the research position:
FaF_VZ3_63: Researcher (junior), 1.0 FTE (100 %),
Place of work: Hradec Králové
Responsibilities:
- Independent performance of the research activities in the relevant field.
- Design, organization of work, planning and execution of experiments for VZ3 (WP3).
- Preparation and testing of nanoparticle drug formulations.
- Evaluation of properties of prepared nanoformulations (DLS, microelectrophoresis, evaluation of drug dissociation profiles).
- Transfer of applied methodologies to the microfluidic approach and up-scaling of formulation preparation.
- Cultivation of cell lines and provision of laboratory operation for cell line work.
- Biocompatibility assessment studying the interactions of prepared formulations with cells in vitro (e.g. monitoring viability, expression of pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory markers using PCR methods).
- Study of immunogenicity of nanocarriers and medicated nanoparticles by PCR and ELISA.
- Statistical evaluation of data obtained in cell lines.
- Preparation of formulations for in vivo imaging and coordination of collaborative in vivo experiments including data interpretation.
- Presentation and publication of the achieved results on an international level.
- Involvement in the preparation of related national and international projects.
- Participation in key project activities with an emphasis on application potential.
Profile:
- A researcher who is no more than 7 years beyond the award of his/her academic Ph.D. or its equivalent (ISCED level 8 equivalent).
- Completed university doctoral studies (PhD degree) in a field with pharmaceutical specialization at a university in the Czech Republic or achieved a comparable degree at a foreign university.
- Junior researcher H-index ≥ 3 (is an advantage), min. 1 first-authored publication (preferably with IF ≥ 3), completed PhD studies, letter of recommendation from 2 experts in the field (at least 1 from a foreign institution), required education in the relevant field of research, grant activity is an advantage, active knowledge of English language.
- Scientific and publishing activity in the field of pharmacological technology and nanotechnology, preparation and evaluation of nanomaterials for pharmaceutical applications, biotechnology and advanced drug delivery systems for targeted delivery, study of interactions between biological systems and nanomaterials.
- Experience with in vitro and cell line cultivation and working with cell isolates.
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical technology and pharmacology is an advantage.

The estimated monthly wage: 62 000 CZK (1.0 FTE)
The start of work: 3 February, or can be negotiated
Type of employment contract: for 1-3 years, with the expectation that the contract will be extended until 29 February 2028.
Employment: full-time (1.0 FTE).
