Assigned Work:

Research project activities at the Department of Pharmacology, LivPharm Group, in in vivo and in vitro experimental research of new therapeutic options for mitigating liver damage during cholestatic diseases. For this purpose, it is necessary to have experience and perform in vivo studies using mouse and rat models, in vitro cell studies on several types of cells, including primary cultures, and perform molecular analysis methods, especially quantitative RT-PCR, Western blot, immunohistochemistry with image analysis.

 

Application requirements:

·         Junior researcher (postdoc): Ph.D. or equivalent academic degree (equivalent to ISCED level 8) in a biomedical program (Pharmacology, Toxicology, Physiology or related field); Be a Junior researcher according to definition of OP JAC, which means a researcher who was awarded his/her Ph.D. no more than 7 years ago (exceptions apply); H-index ≥ 3;

·         PhD Student Researcher: Be a PhD candidate currently finishing her/his degree in a biomedical doctoral program (Pharmacology, Toxicology, Physiology or related field). H-index ≥ 1;

·         Demonstrated publication activity in the relevant research field: min. 1 first-authored publication (preferably with IF ≥ 3), grant activity is an advantage;

·         Prerequisite skills for research and scientific work;

·         Experience with in vivo studies using mouse and rat models, in vitro cell studies on several types of cells, including primary cultures;

·         Experience with molecular analysis methods, especially quantitative RT-PCR, Western blot, immunohistochemistry with image analysis;

·         Active knowledge of English; Czech language as an advantage;

·         PC skills;

·         Teamwork skills;

·         Health capacity for work, moral integrity.

·         For a Junior researcher (postdoc) position: 2 letters of recommendation from recognized experts in their research field (at least 1 from a foreign institution);
