What You’ll Do

• Own the design, development, and optimization of high-power laser systems for wireless energy transmission.
• Work on beam shaping, collimation, and efficiency enhancements to maximize power transfer.
• Develop our signature BeamGuard and Photon Handshake technologies and systems for real-time monitoring and automated shutdown.
• Conduct hands-on lab experiments, simulations, and field testing of laser-based power systems.
• Collaborate with optical, electrical, and software teams to refine system performance.

What We’re Looking For

• Master’s or PhD in Laser Physics, Optics, Photonics, Optical Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on expertise with high-power lasers, beam control, and optical components.
• Experienced in optical design, simulation tools (Ansys software, COMSOL, etc.), and lab testing.
• Familiarity with laser safety, thermal management, and system integration.
• Ability to work autonomously and think outside of the box.
• Startup mindset—passionate, resourceful, and willing to go the extra mile to build something world-changing.
• Bonus: Experience with laser power beaming, free-space optical communication, or adaptive optics.
