The dean of the Faculty of Arts, Charles University, invites applications for job vacancy with a deadline for applications May 19, 2025
Your job will entail: The employee teaches in a bachelor’s or master’s programme of study, in particular basic lectures and seminars the instruction of which also requires more extensive knowledge in the given field of study. The employee regularly innovates at least part of the classes taught, in which he or she applies the current best standards in the didactics of the given field of study. Teaching duties: 10–16 hours per week. Works in the state bachelor’s and master’s examination boards, or entrance examination boards. Advises and reviews bachelor’s and master’s theses. The employee takes part in the operation of a basic unit of the Faculty.

If the career development plan is required, it must aim to commence the habilitation procedure (procedure for the granting of associate professorship) no later than nine years after the expected beginning of employment.
Based on the committee’s decision, either all applicants or selected applicants only will be invited to the second round of the competition, i.e. an interview.

Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Turkish – Linguistic of Middle Eastern Languages teaching experience including courses on Turkish language at the university level fully accomplished knowledge of Turkish at the level C2, incl. the ability to teach advanced courses of spoken Turkish mastering of linguistics of Turkish Turkish language teaching experience at university ability to use Czech as the language of instruction
