The Magnetism group of The Department of Condensed Matter Physics is looking for a new postdoc (2 years) to join a collaboration between Charles University (Prague) and the Augsburg University, where we aim to study the thermal transport properties of quantum materials. The successful candidate will develop the Thermal Transport measurement capabilities within the Magnetism Group, as well as the coupled infrastructure Materials Growth and Measurement Laboratories. Qualifications

  • Strong research experience in Condensed Matter Physics or Solid-State Chemistry. Experience of low temperature measurements of magnetic, thermodynamic or transport properties is a necessity. Experience in the maintenance, development and running of low temperature measurement equipment is a plus. Prior experience in thermal transport property measurements is an additional benefit. 

Expertise

  • Degree and Ph.D. in the field of condensed matter research (Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science)
