Research field: analytical chemistry – mass spectrometry

We are a modern university, teaching and researching agriculture, forestry, economic and technical disciplines in regional and international contexts. The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is an integral part of the Faculty of AgriSciences at Mendel University in Brno. The biomarker research group is one of six research groups at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. This research group focuses on the search for new biomarkers and the development of new sensors and biosensors using analytical methods.

What will you do?

  • independently solve complex research and development tasks in the field of mass spectromerty
  • participate in solving scientific projects
  • communicate the results of his work to the scientific community through publications, especially in professional and scientific journals
  • participate in conferences and seminars

What are our requirements?

  • a university degree in the field
  • active knowledge of Czech and English language
  • at least 2 years of experience in the field of analytical chemistry – mass spectrometry
  • experience in preparing scientific publications
  • experience in MALDI Imaging (MAID MSI)
  • experience in MALDI Imaging Biotyper

Required research experience:

  • proven experience in the field of analytical chemistry, preferably in the field of mass spectrometry for 2 years
  • at least 8 publications in a impacted journals

Job status: 1,0 (40 hours per week)

Expected start: January 2025

Employment contract: fixed term till 31.12.2025
