The Department of Experimental Biology, Section of Animal Physiology and Immunology at the Faculty of Science of MU is a modern, fully equipped workplace where individual research groups are engaged in research at all levels – from molecules and cells to invertebrates and humans; from basic research to the application of results in human and veterinary medicine. The department cooperates closely with other well-equipped departments of the CAS, in particular the Department of Cytokinetics of the Institute of Biophysics, which has specialised instrumentation and experimental facilities for projects in the field of cell biology.
Job Description
Key Duties:
- Participation in the implementation of research projects in collaboration with other members of the research group
- Operation of laboratory instruments and technical devices
- Handling cell cultures
- Processing and analysis of biological materials (RT-qPCR, western blot, etc.)
- Maintenance of laboratory protocols
- Independent performance of routine laboratory tasks
Skills and Qualifications
The applicant must have:
- University degree in a biological field (molecular biology, biochemistry, physiology, cell biology, etc.)
- Good knowledge of professional (life sciences) English (written and verbal)
- Work experience in a laboratory of cell or molecular biology
- Friendly, communicative, diligent and reliable personality
