Dean of the Faculty of environment at UJEP in Usti nad Labem announces a selection procedure for the position Post-doc in Environmental Science at Faculty of Environment, UJEP

Workload: 100 % of full-time employment

Expected start date: October 2025

Expected end date: December 2026 (with the possible extension for another 12 months)

Requirements for applicant:

PhD in Environmental Science preferably in Ecology/ Earth Sciences / Vegetation Ecology / Landscape Ecology / Ecosystem dynamics / Forestry or similar.
Must have a good motivation and interest to carry out research in the field Ecology and Climate Change.
The applicant must have competent knowledge in R programming language or similar.
May travel locally and internationally for sampling.
Should be proficient in English.
Having a driving license would be useful but is NOT a requisite.
Should have excellent publication record

Work content:

Joining the Dendroecology group
Independent as well as teamwork on the vegetation response to climate change or pollution
Research on shrub ecology within an established juniper network
Independent publication activity
