In accordance with the The Competitive Hiring Process Code of Charles University, the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University announces opening of the following position with submission deadline February 28, 2025
The Postdoctoral positions available in the newly established group of Quantum Information and Thermodynamics group led by Dominik Šafránek (www.dominiksafranek.com) to develop a new method of quantum tomography based on quantum Bayes’ theorem. Smaller secondary projects within the area of quantum thermodynamics are also possible. The applicants should have either strong analytical skills or strong programming skills and experience in Quantum Information or related fields. Creative mind, demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team, and interest in or knowledge of experimental platforms (such as trapped ions, photonic systems, etc.) is a plus. The project will be funded by Dr. Šafránek grants Junior Star 25-17250M and PRIMUS/25/SCI/027 Czech is not required. Informal inquiries concerning the positions are welcome. - The Ph.D. title received within the last 8 years by the starting date (exceptions are possible in cases of parental leave and long-term sickness), professional experience, and publication record in the area.
