ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a new colleague specializing in continental philosophy to join the Department of Philosophy.

MAIN JOB CONTENT

Pedagogical

  • delivering lectures and seminars for Bachelor’s and Master’s programs, particularly in German philosophy, with potential courses in French philosophy
  • supervising and assessing Bachelor’s and Master’s theses
  • serving on committees for final state examinations
  • engaging in publishing activities to support educational objectives

Research

  • conducting basic or applied research, with an emphasis on publishing in peer-reviewed journals and monographs
  • actively participating in national and international scientific conferences and professional gatherings to present research findings

Other

  • managing administrative tasks for the courses, including e-learning and communication with students via the MU Information System
  • organizing and supporting international internships for students and academic staff

WE REQUEST

Professional education, qualifications and experience

  • Ph.D. required
  • specialization in continental philosophy
  • publications in international journals and experience with foreign internships.

 

Other knowledge and skills

Language skills

  • excellent command of English
  • knowledge of Czech is not required, as courses may be conducted in English
