ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a new colleague specializing in continental philosophy to join the Department of Philosophy.
MAIN JOB CONTENT
Pedagogical
- delivering lectures and seminars for Bachelor’s and Master’s programs, particularly in German philosophy, with potential courses in French philosophy
- supervising and assessing Bachelor’s and Master’s theses
- serving on committees for final state examinations
- engaging in publishing activities to support educational objectives
Research
- conducting basic or applied research, with an emphasis on publishing in peer-reviewed journals and monographs
- actively participating in national and international scientific conferences and professional gatherings to present research findings
Other
- managing administrative tasks for the courses, including e-learning and communication with students via the MU Information System
- organizing and supporting international internships for students and academic staff
WE REQUEST
Professional education, qualifications and experience
- Ph.D. required
- specialization in continental philosophy
- publications in international journals and experience with foreign internships.
Other knowledge and skills
Language skills
- excellent command of English
- knowledge of Czech is not required, as courses may be conducted in English
